Just wanted to known if anyone could help me, I am florida in my BBM game and won my NL East and nearly won the NL but the next season i dont seem to have an increase in revenue from ticket sales or from pay T.V. I would think that after a good season these would increase, so why has it not, Please help me because of this i cant afford to resign my best players as they are over my budget. Has this happend to any one else?

I had to win for 3 seasons before my $$ went up.. & it relied on a good pennant race & probably the fact that I built a great new park.

When I win my division by a landslide the attendence seems so-so. When I Suck all year but squeak it out at the end the attendence is also so-so. But the best seasons I seem to have attendence wise, are the ones where my team is always above .500 & competes for first all seson long.

malpits- join the club. Look at my team below. I'm having the same problem as you (low attendence) despite winning and winning and winning. The best thing you can probably do is switch to NYY or BAL or CLEV or LA. The attendence for those teams goes up when they win.

As for teams like ANA and Florida, you don't get any rewards for winning.

Here's a post regardijng this problem (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=16267)

Pay TV really hurts your fan base...your attendance will most likely not go up even if you win if you have Pay TV.

OK, so what you are saying is that Local Blackout and Pay TV are only good for the short run. AND the only setting for long term success (i.e. maximizing of revenues) is to select Normal Broadcast ALWAYS.

Is there a way to check the current status of "fan loyalty" in the online game? How many seasons, of Normal Broadcast does it take to improve fan loyalty, so that I can recover the revenue lost by not having Pay TV?

No, there is no way to see fan loyalty in the online game. It may take a few seasons, but your attendance will increase steadily if you are a winner, and use normal broadcast.

I've had the same problem with Philadelphia. I went to the WS last season and almost won in 7 games. This season my attendance is actually DOWN! I find that pretty unrealistic considering I've used Normal Broadcast for 95% of my games and am in a pennent race.

I am the GM for Tampa, took them to the ALCS 3 years straight, kept the ticket prices between -20 to -30% (except in the playoffs - when it went up to normal) and I always used normal broadcast even in the playoffs. Attendance never went up. Why is this? How many years does one need to win to get attendance up? Or is it that Tampa is just a lost cause?

I changed my broadcast to "normal" and not only did my broadcast revenue go down, but so did my attendance. So, I'm taking a double hit.

It seems to me there must be an optimal formula like use Pay TV 1/3 of the time and Normal 2/3 of the time. Or use Pay TV when you're winning and Normal in the rebuilding years. It makes the most intuitive sense to have Pay TV for home games and normal for away games, but who can micromanage that?

Just how damaging is Local Blackout? Why have it as an option if it shouldn't be used?

You attendence will always be higher with a blackout. You wont get tv revenue (no kidding!) But more people will be in the seats. There are tips somewhere that if you attendence really really sucks that a blackout is not the way to go. But I have taken teams with attendence well under 10,000 & built them up with this blackout helping, & as soon as I got to Normal or Pay it drops right away. (With the Expos or even the Large market Washington DC)
