hey guys,
first post so forgive me if this topic is in the wrong place. i'd like to add another guy to my bullpen while shortening my bench to 5 players. Is there any way to do this?

Currently, you can't do this. Sorry.
The good news is that I know that it's at least on Clay's mind for Baseball Mogul 2009. I have no idea how realistic it would be to expect to see this feature (or any other, really) for 2009, but I know that it's on the "to-do" list, at least.

Thanks for the quick reply. That would be a nice feature, especially on games the next day after my starter lasted an inning and I had to blow through everyone in my pen. :)

You can gain an extra relief pitcher by going with a 4-man starting rotation. Doesn't cost you a bench position player either.
I won 103 games with the 2007 Orioles using a 4-man rotation and 7 relievers. The starters thrive if you keep their pitch count down.

I wish that you could have another reliever, there really isn't a need for six bench players on most teams. Relievers are much more useful than a guy who only gets a few at bats each month.
