Creating New Players 101

Hi!! I'm new to Baseball Mogul. I find the game very interesting. I would like to know how to create new players from scratch (steps A to Z). Thanks!!

To create a player, turn on Commisioner Mode in league options. Find a player at the same position as the player you want to create on the team you want that player to be on (it doesn't have to be the same position, but then you'll have to edit the position and change the predicted fielding stats all around). Click Edit Player on his scouting report. Click Copy Player. This creates a copy of him, obviously. Edit the copy's vitals and predicted stats.

you can create an entirely new player (or team , or league!)
by typing in fictitious names ,
giving them a position,
and assigning them a new lahman id in the 2007rosters.csv


suggest you also assign peak and overall. or it will likely create alot of scrubs.

You could then add new player to vitals batting fielding csv's if you wish
or just accept the random skill ratings

example - add(copy paste) these guys to your 2007rosters.csv
just choose which team by typing in a team abbreviation,
in the quotes where i have "team"

this is all that's required for BBM to generate players for you

"DoughJo51",2007,"team",,,"John","Dough",,"3B","","",,,0

this is the entire format - add quotes as per examples

(# PlayerID,Year,Team,Salary,Years,First Name,Last Name,Age,Position,Bats,Throws,Overall,Peak,Injured,Notes )


"SimmoGe51",2007,"team",1000000,7,"Gene","Simmons",18,"1B","S","R",69,97,0

"WiserBu51",2007,"team",,,"Bud","Wiser",18,"2B","R","R",57,92,3

bud will start season w a 3 day hangover ;)

How does it work for creating a player in an existing MOG. The player I wish to add is in the roster file, but is not showing up anywhere?
