Perhaps we could be able to sort the minor leagues, so that in the case of an injury, you can have a minor leaguer ready to call up.
For example, using Boston... Let's say Nomo get's hurt for 14 days... If you could prioritize the minor leaguers, you could have, let's say, Paxton Crawford ready to be called up. He'd be #1 on the priority list. The 'spot' starter would move to the rotation, and Crawford would become the 'spot' starter.
Same thing with hitters... you fill from the bench, if you can fill that position, then you call up a minor leaguer who you've previously designated, and move him to the ML bench.
Now, this doesn't help you if a player is coming BACK from an injury. How will that work?
Maybe we could be e-mailed when a guy get's hurt, or is healed, or even is slumping badly over the past 10 games, or the team has lost 5 in a row, or something. E-mail notification would be very nice.
Anyhoo, just more ideas...
