How and why does the game auto play things the way that it does?

I'm in beta 124 hourly Anaheim Saints.
The game date: Wednesday, June 13.
Opponent: SF Giants

The game substituted Adam Kennedy for Wally Joiner. Why? When AK is a 2b, and WJ is not hurt?

Of course, I lose the game by a run, and AK goes 1-6......

The sline up get's juggled so that the weaker player is usualy batting lower in the line up.

Is the health rating used for this judgement? Or is that just for injuries?

Players with poorer health do require more days off.

As for the lineup, are you saying that the AI DOES put the replacement lower in the lineup, or that it SHOULD?

Thanks,

Clay

Currently, the replacement player swaps out with the person he is replacing. Maybe the AI should lower him in the order?????

Replacement players generally lead off (ex Lenny Harris) or end up in the bottom third of the line up. (ex. Dave Hansen)

Of course, that may put too much pressure on the AI, and upset coaches further. In the long run, a player here or there swapped out does not effect the outcome of a season, I don't think.

This is certainly not as big a bug-a-boo as the recently fixed AI auto-line up problem.
