Do it yourself - go into Commish mode & trade him YOURSELF (otherwise 99% of roster makers won't have it as he never played for NYM during the 07 season)

You're not going to find any updated rosters until BM2009 comes out. Unless you want to replay 2007 with 2008's teams...

Here's my best attempt. I took HoustonGM's last 2007 roster update and I tried to include every person in the transactions since then. I didn't go the extra length of updating contract extensions/salaries or adding minor league players that were packaged in a trade that weren't already included on the roster but this is pretty close.

Also in my first attempt at playing I noticed the sim was set to have really low salary demands so you may want to adjust. That was pre-set with the roster as I pulled it down on here.

Rosters were great, one thing tho. Bob Wickman isnt on the Braves at that time, and is there anyway to like, copy the roster and use it in '07 so that season isnt missed? Cause it just goes from 2006 to 2008 and totally skips 2007 =( other then those 2 minor things, awesome job thanks!

That's what happens when you want to play with 2008 teams in a game that starts in 2007...

If you don't want to skip 2007, use rosters for the 2007 season.

I missed the Bob Wickman move but it can easily be handled by releasing him or going into Commissioner Mode and force trading him to the team he plays on now.

There is not a ay to add 2007 stats unfortunately. You could sim 2007 so that you have some stats for that year but if you want 2007 stats it's best to wait until BBM 2009 comes out this March.

Depends on what you want?

If you want historical accuracy, i.e stats (mostly with the team they actually played for but also career stats like Bonds HR totals), transactions, etc then you need to sim the 2007 season - and edit it accordingly.

If you aren't worried about that - then here's what you do.

Take the Feb3 MOG file and go into league editor and change the following:

1) Start year to 2007.
2) Trading Frequency to -100% (so they don't trade anybody - or make all teams Human owned)
3) Sim a season to the WS conclusion.
4) Save that simmed season to another filename.
5) Create a new game with that new filename. Make sure it shows 2008 as the Start Year and you are good to go. All players will have 2007 statlines - and should still be on their teams unless they retire.

Thanks Fraquar i'll try that out, im not worried about the accuracy of the stats, so i'll try those steps. And thanks messiah for some great up2date rosters =)

BBM2008 is a good game but BBM2009 will be out shortly with updated rosters and hopefully features.

There are so many lacking features pertaining to Management that I can't play the game any more as it is frustrating.

I wait and will buy BBM2009 only if it has improved features. Otherwise I give up and Sports Mogul doesn't get my business.

Sounds harsh but I think we have all waited long enough for both added and updated features.

You're going to get the same response that everybody else is getting about 2008 rosters for BM2k8. It's not that far away from 2k9. It's best to be patient

No roster maker is doing work on BM08 anymore (that I know of....) so the EASIEST way is for you to go into COMMISH mode in League Editor & force trade these guys onto their appropriate teams.



btw No point in continually re posting the same message/question (I think it is the 9th or 10th time you have asked in BM &/or FM forums) as you will get either no response or a "copy-conform" of this post or HGM post above.
