Computer Teams should make offseason trades...

i've recently noticed that the computer NEVER trades during the offseason... whats up with that?

i mean, if a player doesn't want to play for a team why should he wait for his contract to be up? or if a team has 3 good 1B's in the offseason they should throw one on the trading block... i usually end up doing it for them to make my league more realistic but it'd be cooler to see them doing it themselves...

It is an AI issue which hopefully will be sorted for beta/09...as of today unfortuntely the only way to resolve it is by playing god & force trading in commisioner mode.:(

As long as the team is still paying him, so what, grin and bear it dude. Look at Brandon Inge in Detroit right now, obviously he wants to be traded very badly but the team does not want to have a firesale on him, which is what would've happened if they had traded him immediately after Cabrera like he wanted. He's still getting his $6M a year either way. Granted he might not have signed that four year deal a year ago if he had known Cabrera was coming, but then again, if you had the choice of Miguel Cabrera or Brandon Inge at 3B, which would you choose?
