I assumed the reason jack dunn has -1-1 mph for his fastball is due to his not having a fastball (started league in 1901 if that matters)

however, does this cause an issue with his gb% also? Another pitcher on my team also has no fastball & the -1-1 mph, as well as 0% gb% (his pitches are a spitball & a curve)

i then looked at all my other pitchers & all of them had a fastball & no discerbible mph or gb%, issue except for one, roger bresnahan

The velocity listed on the scouting report is purely cosmetic and has no in-game effect, IIRC. Don't know about the ground ball %; I would hope it actually has an effect, but I'm have no idea whether or not it does.

GB% doesn't have an effect, it's a statistic. It tells you how the pitcher has been doing.

Yep. However, his predicted GB% does have an effect - it regulates how often he allows groundballs (obviously). In historical leagues, it seems as though pitchers never have any predicted GB% (ie. their predicted groundballs are set to 0). I vaguely remember posting this a while ago, but can't find it.
