2 years ago lance berkman (at age 38) went from a 94 to a 67 from a broken hip. Johan Santana (at 36) cracked his wrist and went from a 94 to a 74. Now this to joe blanton this year. I'm having a historic run though through the season and think I can still grab the series title. Notice that guy that's 20-1, and the other 20 game winner on my staff, both have put up similar numbers in their other 2 seasons in the majors...At least I can clear up some salary now I guess :(

How is Norris Hopper batting .290?

.290 doesn't mean anything without context, take a look at his OBP.

How did Norris Hopper bat .329 last year in real life?

It happens.

seriously? He's a 300 career hitter for me in this simulation, after about 9 seasons. He's invaluable to my team, if he's not starting he's my first man off the bench. He actually hit the game winning hit in two world series' for me...lol

His high majo league batting averages give him a good contact rating in the game, so that's why. In real lief, he's a career .289 hitter in the minors, and has been hitting over his head in a small sample size in the majors.

Isn't it Norris Hooper?
No, it's Hopper. :p

Oh, same as OBA... sorry tired here. But isn't OBP useless by itself too?
Yes, but OBP by itself is better than batting average by itself.

hahahahhahaha I just went 27-2 in August...I have 108 wins by the end of it. Does the difficulty increase exponentially when you put the difficulty up to Mogul?

The difficulty settings only change the finances. The game simulation results never change, although there are settings to adjust certain things globally.

snazzy...I'm a hardcore mogul...lol...I'm only 8th highest in the league right now as far as payroll goes. I think I'm going to suck in about 5 seasons though, I don't have any really good young players in my farm system.

most stats are useless by themselves. The more the stats, the more the stats paint the picture.
