There is a new league out and is called Another Good Mogul League (http://www-1.sportsmogul.com/bb/leagues.pl?viewleague=966) . I am currently in MLML and its a great league and Im going to try to make this one like it, If your in MLML, I would like you to join you are all great managers and it would be a privledge for you to be in my league.
To make things fair I decided that I would not have a team, and as a bonus if you join before midnight July 10th you will recieve 75 points just to join.
Rules are listed here below:
Currently I am in a League called Major League Mogul League, and I think its the best league out there right now, so now some of those rules will be in effect here.
1) No computer trading to increase newcomers to want to join in the middle of our Sim.
2) You must keep the actual team name or else I will change it myself, and I will deduct 1 point from your Budget (might sound dumb, but I dont think its important to change your team name)
3) Non-computer managed teams will be required to particiapate in a Rule V draft before the beginning of each season
4) There will be no signing Free Agents after September 10th untill the end of the season. (this is used in MLML and I think its a great rule so that you dont stock up before Play-offs) If caught deduction of 3 pts, that player's salary, and of cource that person. (example: If you sign Jim Thome after September 10th and you sign him for 15 pts.. You lose 18 pts and Jim Thome.)
5) A manger has a maximum of bieng non-active for 3 days without notice. Notice is any of the following....An email to me, a message on the forum or even an instant message to me. Required on that Notice is the length of days you will be gone.
6) To get points you can post message's and talk about trades you have made or how your team is doing ( this is also in MLML)
7) We will also host Winter meeting around the date of December 1st, and a Manager will be required to "be there" for a minimum of 5 minutes. If not deductions will be made from your cash but it wont be much.
8) Managers will vote on Manager of the Year and other awards but the actual winners of each award will be decided by the headlines.
Besides that everything is fine, these rules are requirements but even if you think you cant handle all of this, I urge you to join and try the league out.
I dont like how Free Agency works but I'll muddle through it with you guys and we'll change it to what seems to work best.
