This is still a major problem in 11.11. It really makes sorting through the transactions a tedious job.

Could you post an example, please? Are you sure that the transactions occurred in 11.11, and not while running an earlier patch?

This is definitely patch 11.11.

At least it's not sign, release, sign, release, sign, release, sign, release, etc.

Ah, yeah, this seems like a much smaller issue, thank god. It used to sign/release the same player over and over again over a month or so period. Signing a player and releasing him on the same day..once...should be a relatively easy fix.

I see Spencer Pumpelly on there twice, both times for the Cubs.

Didn't see that.

Still, it's not as prevelent as it was.

This happens in 11.10 for sure. Matt Treanor has been signed by the Cubs 4 separate times in the season I'm playing now, and I'm sure he's just awaiting his fourth release after playing a few games in AA. This isn't the only player who is getting that treatment, but he's the one I'm noticing the most.

Definitely still there as of 11.11 - though I agree, it's not as violent and all-pervading as before.

Started as the Royals, 1969 Expansion. The year is 1982 now, and I noticed the AI (specifically the Yankees, no other team was doing this) is signing a TON of no-name, no-talent players and releasing them the very same day. Several of the players they are doing this upwards of 30 times in one offseason. See attached screen shots.

I didn't know if this was a bug or if it belonged in this forum. It is just really odd.

Not a bug.

Just Steinbrenner being Steinbrenner. :)

I'm seeing the same thing.

Robinson made quite a bit of money over a month or so. All of those buyouts had to amount to something.

I smell a possible mob connection.

Export that roster and import it in Mafia Mogul.

You know, this isn't completely unrealistic...;)

This may have come up before, but I had my screen set on "Transactions" while I had the program play the month of December, when I noticed that quite a few teams signed a free agent for multiple years and then released the same player on the same day. Why does this happen? If you sign a player for $1 million for two years and release the player, you have just tied up $2 million dollars for nothing. I thought maybe the list was backwards, meaning a team released a player and then resigned him for lower dollars, but when I checked, sure enough the player who had been signed and then released was an available free agent. Is this a AI problem?:)
