Season 2001 - post season.
We are in the 2001 playoffs. I extended the contract of Mike Remlinger, who had been making 18 points thru 2001. He wanted 3 points thru 2003.
After I extended his contract, his current salary dropped to 3, and that 15 point drop was reflected in my 2001 projected expenses.
Why did that happen? Remlinger certianly did not give any of his salary back!
The same thing happens with raises. The raise is reflected immediately. I understand that (you are re-negotiating his contract). But no one would take a pay cut like that!
