Seeing there are so many red sox fans in here;

As I type this he gives up a inning opening single in his second inning of work. This being the first game I've watched him pitch, I have to agree with what I've heard, the kid looks good.

I recall seeing him in previous years, I've never seen a guy look more like a deer in headlights. Probably brought up too quickly, his bigger issue was him composure not his stuff. With a bit of comfort and a live ball....I think with some experience in the bigs this kid could be a very good reliever.

Before HGM jumps on it, this is only about an inning of a sampling lmao.

They were talking on the ESPN coverage that he had had some sort of sleep apneia problem and that it was finally solved and has made him feel a lot better. And man, he has a nice, late breaking ball!

Haha..

"HI, this is the gun calling, it appears you have jumped me"

Oh yea and Diasuke is drving me nuts .... hes now walked more batters than hes given up hits ( 27 -22 ) and he seems to be working even slower ... i may kill myself if i watch a game between him and Trachsel . . .

I love how they talked about the game where Wakefield 'scattered' 6 home runs to get the win. That game is classic!!!

that's best, you know...don't want to give those home runs up in bunches, want to put some walks and hits in between, lol

That was against the tigers like 3 years ago, right? I listed to that game on the radio when i first moved to New Hampshire...fun night.

I watched the game myself, and remember the radio the day after when the announcer said 'Tim Wakefield scatters six home runs as the Red Sox beat the Tigers'. He said it so non-chalantly like they do when a pitcher 'scatters' 8 or 10 hits. Of course it was done purposely, but it was very comical.
