spring of '82, I was 18 and finishing up my freshman year of college. The drinking age in NC was still 18 back then, and there were college girls everywhere.

Man do I miss those days.

MTV was in its infancy and actually played music videos back then, believe it or not. ESPN was still in its early days too, and not the bloated, self-important monster it is now. Both were actually fun to watch back then. It's probably a good thing we didn't have the Internet in '82 or I might never have graduated.

Man do I miss those days.

Spring of '82...i was 3 years old and finishing up a sippy cup while watching He-Man. MTV did play music back then and I know for sure because my darn homecare lady's daughter made me watch it over and over in between Days of our lives and General Hospital or some sh!t like that. I think I might have been potty trained but surely wet myself from time to time. It's probably a good thing we didn't have the Internet in '82, or I might have developed a rash waiting for the dam homecare lady to change me.

My parents weren't even married in the spring of 1982. :p In fact, my mom was graduating high school and had just started dating my dad.

My dad was already 43, my mom was 26, and despite my being 1 year old, they were not married. I think they finally got married when I was 11? or 10. I forget.

Marraige, bah. Who needs it. I'm honestly thinking of avoiding the whole marriage thing and going right to kids...I mean, aside from the legal/tax benefits, most of the rest is negative...huge expense, the feeling of being stuck, the divorce, lawyers, money, etc.

I was 10/11 and still living in sunny southern California (it was a heck of a lot nicer there, back then). I don't really remember anything specific about '82 though.

I was 10 in 82, we were living on the NIU(Northern Illinois Univ.) campus, my parents had gone back to college when I was 8. I was getting into all NIU football, baseball, and basketball games for nothing because I would constantly hang around the stadium or gym or ballfield all the time, every time a player or coach looked up there I was staring through a fence or sneaking into the gym to watch. It was so neat to be able to actually be on the side lines with the football team during games, the last year I was there they actually let me run out on the field and grab the tee after kickoffs. I remember watching Allen Rayhorn playing basketball for the Huskies and taking them to the NCAA tourney in 82, boy he could play some ball, for a 6'9 guy he could handle the ball, he could shoot from anywhere on the court, he rebounded, I'm still shocked that he never got a chance to play in the NBA.

Man I miss those days with no worries other than if I should grab the glove or football or basketball.

I was a sophomore. My girlfriend wasn't even born yet. :) All things considered, I don't really miss college all that much. ;)
