View Full Version : 11.17 New draftee placed in AAA

I just noticed on one team that they put an 18 year old rated 53/66 into AA and then later AAA. Auto-sort does the same thing.

This seems to be an isolated incident. I did a cursory check around the league and didn't find any other instances (although I didn't look too hard), but since there used to be that bug that placed draftees into AA and AAA automatically (which has been fixed), I figured I'd post this.

Sounds like it might be an issue with that team being weak at that position and didn't have anybody better to put there.

It doesn't try to fill position spots in the minor leagues, except to make sure that there isn't two position players at the same position at the same level. The Mets did have another left fielder in Rookie Ball, a 19 year old rated 61/91. Given that, the logical thing to do would be move that guy to Single-A, and place the 53/66 guy in Rookie.

Always thought the one position per level only came into affect at AA or AAA because of high-low clubs at A and rookie ball level.Didn't notice playing time was affected at the lower levels, good to know! Did most of my own sorting and promotions in 2008 version, then got lazy in 2009.

I found another instance...this time time an 18 year old centerfielder rated 61/70 being on the bench. The team's left fielder and center fielder are hurt, so the previous bench players are starting. They have another outfielder on the bench with the 18 year old, yet they have an 80/91 22 year old center fielder in AA, a 77/82 26 year old right fielder in AA, a 70 rated 25 year old left fielder in AA, and a 69/72 25 year old right fielder in A. This 18 year old is called up to the bench after spending 50 or so games at AAA.

Looks like the bug is back if the 61/70 18 yr old centerfielder was put at AAA for 50 games, let alone moving up to fill injury.

It seems to be "back", but in a very limited fashion. I've also noticed a handful of teenage pitchers make one or two AAA starts.

Are you playing with boosted promote minor league levels, or at +0?
0%.

It's probably related to the complaint you had with Draftee scouting. They probably thought he was a 73/80 or similar.
Likely...

I actually "fixed" this once, simply by deleting the transaction history of a first round draftee. Sent him from MLB to A ball :p

Uh. Let me try that.

Nope, didn't work.
