Dee, is it possible to see who changes Tag Message. Somebody is changing them to say stupid things like dish dawn soap, wutang clan...ect...
I think I know who it is by when they visit the thread but besides that I don't :(
I think this type of thing is immature, and not really benefiting the forums. I thought tags would be cool for searching and stuff like that....

Yea, agreed. Tags are a great feature if people use them, and if people put legitimate tags onto threads. This is disappointing though.

Just delete inappropriate tags. Simple enough right? Just got rid of two attached to one post. About to ditch three more stuck to this one. Gets out of hand, we can always ask for the tags to be ditched, or if there's a way to allow mods to see who's putting the bad tags on.

Oh, I agree. It's just a pain in the *** is all, and it would be nice to know for sure who's doing it so that we can, erm... talk to them.

The Wu-Tang ones were mine. ;) (Just kiddin').
I'll see if we can make tags limited in some way. Maybe it'll be mods only until we can figure something out. I'll go consult the all powerful vBulletin Manual and see what it has to offer.

Okay...I've set it so regular users (the 'Registered' group) can tag their own messages, but no one else's. They also can't create tags with the current setting. I'm debating the wisdom of that, but I figure the mods will create good tags and there'll be plenty for the registered users to choose from.
Let me know if I should change anything...
Now, I'm off to see if this thing called "Outside", with features such as "Daylight" and "Fresh Air" is really all its cracked up to be...

Awesome, thank you Dee!
Maybe we can come up with a "Tagger" user group? Anyway, I kind of enjoy creating tags anyway (at least when I'm bored at work), so no worries on getting them created.

Perhaps a mod should set up a "sticky thread" for users to put in requests for tags.

So, if I get bored at work tomorrow, I'm going to start tagging threads in Sports Talk, as far back as I can. i figure, the tagging system is at its best the more threads that are tagged. I might eventually move on to other forums, most likely Ejections.

Yea, I've been working through threads in various different forums whenever I get a chance (and I have the motivation to do it). It's kind of fun, but can be tedious after a while. You're right though, the more tags the better the system works.

Uh, you realize users can't even choose from the approved tags and set them on a thread they don't own?
Yes.

I mean, it's just a little blip at the bottom of the messages. They aren't that big a deal.
However I hope you can figure out how to ignore them so that your forum experience is more enjoyable.
