I was curious if anyone was playing, had played, don't play the other Baseball games out there.
I have played:
SOM (@#$%$#@!!!!! Key Disk!)
ActionPC (Lacking)
PureSim (Nice eye-candy)
Diamond Mind (I include this one for discussion but have NOT played it. Shame on me! :p)
What's your OWN opinion. And did I miss any?:D

I think it would be more fun to try and list all the other baseball games we've played.
Text SimsDiamond Mind, I think 7 & 8: bought one close to the end of its life and they sent the next one free. Most realistic baseball text sim I've ever seen! Unfortunately, it's best suited for single-season replays. ITP (http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/itp/): could have been so, so much better. What's with the magic equipment and expensive books? Major League Manager '85 & '87: programmed for Commodore 64 by a New Jersey schoolteacher. Best for exhibition games; no AI and had to play each days' game one by one. Never did finish an entire season because the 5¼" floppy would start having errors after a few games. The guy stopped working on his game after '89 but sent me the utilities that he used to create the team files and later sent the program listings, which I attempted to port to MS-DOS. OOTP 3,5,6. PureSim (demo only): way too slow. Even with the fewest number of teams in the league it made OOTP3 look fast. Radio Baseball (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=2202): one of the first commercial baseball text sims. Bought it in '89 or '90. Very nice game but I think it only came with all-time greats as opposed to current rosters.Games with GraphicsBo Jackson Baseball (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?gameid=1487): not bad. Near-useless player editor, though. Earl Weaver Baseball (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/earl-weaver-baseball): groundbreaking! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earl_Weaver_Baseball) Made me wish I had an Amiga. Earl II (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?name=Earl+Weaver+Baseball+2): could have been so much better. Wasted lots of time in batting practice, though. Front Page Sports: Baseball '94 (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/front-page-sports-baseball-94): couldn't get the darn thing to work. Buggy install disks. Front Page Sports: Baseball Pro '98 (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/front-page-sports-baseball-pro-98): good game, but a few bugs in career mode; I've seen the same guy win ROTY three years in a row! Loved the external player editor (DataIn). Hardball! (http://www.mobygames.com/game/c64/hardball): very nice arcade baseball game. Hardball III (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/hardball-iii): not bad. Loved the built-in logo editor. Microsoft Baseball 2001 (http://pc.ign.com/objects/014/014146.html): BBM's engine with graphics! MLB '07: The Show (http://ps2.ign.com/objects/868/868302.html): very nice. Why couldn't ITP have been more like this? MLB Slugfest: Loaded (http://ps2.ign.com/objects/637/637192.html): BBM's engine with even better graphics!:cool: Annoying announcers, though. Old Time Baseball (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/old-time-baseball): Tony 3's engine with all the historic teams, and some Negro Leaguers, up to (I think) 1980. Loved the different verions of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" in the menus, particularly the Big Band one. Pure-Stat Baseball (http://s64.emuunlim.com/adverts/baseball/purestatbaseball.htm): Puke-Stat would have been more accurate. The Slugger (http://www.mobygames.com/game/pc-booter/slugger): another nice arcade baseball game, if quirky. (Cheerleaders in baseball? Must've been the minor leagues.) The C64 version, at least, had a few bugs: sometimes the computer would think a long drive landed on the playing field although the ball was beyond the fielders' ability to get to it. Tony LaRussa's Ultimate Baseball (http://www.mobygames.com/game/c64/tony-la-russas-ultimate-baseball) (Hi, Clay!): liked it so much that I got the DOS version (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/tony-la-russas-ultimate-baseball) after I finally got something that could run it (http://www.oldskool.org/guides/tvdog/RLRLX.html). Tony II (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/tony-la-russa-baseball-ii): a good game made even better. Tony 3 (http://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/tony-la-russa-baseball-3) ('96 version): best one yet. Tony 4 (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/sports/tonylarussabaseball4/index.html): apparently Maxis traded quality for bling.

Missed one.
Pete Rose Pennant Fever (http://www.the-underdogs.info/game.php?id=2328): first ever game with a career mode! And it has a Free Agent list populated by guys like Ruth & Gehrig in their prime. Unfortunately, neither the rookie list nor Free Agent list ever gets repopulated so you'll run out of prospects around season 15.
