2001 97-65 1st (AL Central) 1,250
Last sim year, the Twins made it into the playoffs with a 97-65 record :) and DID get beat in the first round. But that whole year I never sold out one game ( untill the playoffs) I lost 1 point in revenue the entire year ( pay roll of about 150 points) OK that is great but here it is next sim year, I have up my payroll a whole 10 points lol but still again no sell outs, an I am getting 3000 more people this year then last. This is a problem, I know the new cap is ok ( not a big fan) but if I am not getting anything from the playoffs ( points) an a team that made the playoffs can not sell out games or gets less people the next year where is the fun in that ? I have my tickets at 80% an I have tried every combo I can think of. I like the division between the have's an the have's nots but this is silly.

When good teams do bad , they still sell out ( I remember the Sox an Yanks, Indains that could not give away tickets in the late 80's early 90's) But now they don't make the playoff but yet still sell out ???? I do make the playoffs an still have half a empty park ???

You will never get people to take on those teams long term if this continues to happen.

Hmmmmmmm not one reply, but yet I have seen other posts on this. This is a problem, with the cheats that do pop up this is one of the reasons for it.

I have found that, with higher ticket prices, even the New York teams rarely sell out games. But this isn't about sell-outs, this is about total revenue. Notice that, as you change the ticket prices, the projected budget is adjusted. Put your ticket prices at the level that projects the highest revenue, and you'll do fine.
