In this race for the figurehead position of Sports Mogul Forums President and Vice President, these are the candidates:

NL Party:Metsguy234 and Rockiesfan4ever (http://sportsmogul.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=180619)---WITHDRAWED 7/7/08
AL Party: RedSoxRockies and PotatoOfCouch (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?t=180621)
Texas League Party: robinhoodnik and Shepster (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?t=180674)
IYNIBL Party: Coach Owens and Red Sox Fan 734 (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?t=180681)
There are some rules to the campaign:

The campaign will last until July 23rd. At that point, a voting thread will open and remain open for 3 days. There will most likely be no "write-in" option as that would just make everyone vote for themselves. If you don't like the candidates, then DON'T VOTE.

There will be three presidential debates and two vice-presidential debates. Additional debates (similar to town hall meetings) could occur if both parties agree upon them.

The debates will follow the following schedule (Schedule Subject to Change)

July 3rd- Presidential Debate 8-8:30 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time)
July 8th- VP debate 8-8:30 EST
July 13rd- Presidential Debate 8-8:30 EST
July 18th- VP debate 8-8:30 EST
July 23th-Final presidential debate 8-8:30 EST

NOTE: If something important comes up in someone's life, then their running mate could do their debate, pending the approval of the other candidates.


During the debates,there will be "debate threads". Users of this forum can ask the candidates questions in those threads. Any inappropriate questions will be deleted (hopefully).

NO OTHER CANDIDATES ARE PERMITTED AT THIS POINT

When the concept of an NL/AL election was first brought forth I thought it would be interesting and a fun idea. However it has quickly gotten out of control with more parties and so many threads I've lost count. Due to Real Life busyness though I will have to bow out of the AL party and the Veep Position effective immediately. I just don't have the Real Life time to devote to this growing cause. I wish RedSxoRockies well in the AL election. It was fun, however I am out. Again this is only due to RL needs right now.

I'd vote for him, I certainly don't trust Robinhoodnik to do the right thing. Unless it's the easier, more profitable "thing" to do. Why, Robinhoodnik would just accept bribes from any old lobbyist.
