You are wrong - if you are candidate the number of voters is exactly the same just that it will diminish the number of votes EACH candidate will receive - btw I think this whole thing is pretty silly & we all could use the time posting here on finding SUGGESTIONS to improve BM but hey that's only a voice of a BM political abstainer....:p

That logic doesn't work - I wouldn't vote for any of others anyway. There are no 'votes being lost'. Besides, who how is it that someone running for office gets to make the rules? I smell a rat.

When the concept of an NL/AL election was first brought forth I thought it would be interesting and a fun idea. However it has quickly gotten out of control with more parties and so many threads I've lost count. Due to Real Life busyness though I will have to bow out of the AL party and the Veep Position effective immediately. I just don't have the Real Life time to devote to this growing cause. I wish RedSxoRockies well in the AL election. It was fun, however I am out. Again this is only due to RL needs right now.

It does seem a bit fishy that the AL candidate wants to limit the number of parties, to be honest.

What y'all need is a neutral moderator (not necessarily a SM moderator) to set the guidelines and so forth.

The simplest solution if there are too many parties is to ask for more endorsements to get on the ballot. Make it so you need 2 or even 3 people on your team to 'prove' that you have enough support to run a viable campaign.

Actually as the lone judge, elected per your rules with the candidates making the rules I do have the power. The candidates felt one judicial candidate was enough, so it was capped at one. Amazingly, I won the election. So... yes I do have the power.

You bring up a good point...an army DOES require a 'leader' (in name only, of course...it would be a tad foolish for us to give control of our armed forces to anything BUT a puppet stooge.
