I think people should have to be nominated, and win a primary, like in real life. Otherwise, just the first 5 people who happen to visit the forum that day and decide to run are somehow elevated to candidate status...and people who were taking a nap, or working, despite their better qualifications, are now somehow not allowed to run. Ornamental or not, why are our candidates limited to those who yelled 'Shotgun!' first?

I am subtracting 4 votes from joe Morgan since Beavis, Butthead, Joe Morgan, Bingle Bop, and Binglebop2 are all the same person, and I think he should only have 1 vote like everyone else. Does everyone think this sounds fair?

Obviously, in a pointless election for a powerless position, I don't know what qualifications would matter - but I would like the think the elected president would be the best of the best; community leader, knowledgable, helpful, somewhere over the age of 12, etc. Someone that you see day in and day out making contributions to the board.

But we didn't nominate other people; 3 or 4 or however many of us quickly nominated ourselves...
