Altered GM Mode suggestion!!

I highly recommend to game developers two helpful fixes: an "undo" feature for all game play modes that would work similar to the undo feature in Microsoft Excel & a dialog box prompting the user's choice for the AI replacing pitchers in General Manager Mode.

As I have discovered (http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php?t=180974) neither of these helpful tools exist, but would be very valuable if included.

Can a patch be made to include these 2 options or would we have to wait for Mogul 2010 or later?

I dont think that would be a good feature because then you could just cheat and undo if you get out

Well, the GM mode is precisely for those people who don't want to partake in the game management. So what you're asking for, really, is a Manager mode that plays the game itself...until the AI would make a substitution. Then, you are presented with that substitution choice? What is to say that the substituion should really be made at that point? I think the decision has to be either all the player, or all the AI...the AI prompting for a substitution after every pitch during a no-hitter bid would really start to bother me.

Currently, most players are demanding a more Manager-style game - where you are given options between every pitch, allowed to warm up the bullpen, etc. What you want to do can be pretty easily done, if you simply act before the AI does, or turn the game to Manager mode once substitutions are more likely, or whenever you are inclined to make them. Not to put down your suggestion at all - that's just my opinion, and thank you for contributing!

Now that is the Major problem with BM it seems - there are 2 distinct clans - the GM Bmers who want added features such as :
better AI/more versatility in expenses (better Scouting resolvement/deeper scouting-farm etc)

& the Manager's style game which is closer to the MLB series/arcade style games.

Personally if BM goes down that road with added PbP features then I fear that BM will simply LOSE its fan base because MLB "the Show" will ALWAYS be better both graphically & speed wise (btw on Wii it is an EXCELLENT game) & as BM is a small company the less time it spends on the text based features the more that fan base will go to OOTP....


Also I don't think MOST player's/user"s are asking for more PbP JUST their suggestions/demands are being MORE posted - overall the GM features (such as Y4 fixing) have been MULTI posted since BMXX every version!

I would be perfectly happy to let the AI perform all management duties, if the AI was better (but I think watching the game is invaluable). So I am all on the AI-side of that argument. I have other console games for the in-game feel, and you're right, BM most likely can't (and shouldn't) compete there.

Tis a SINGLE thread my friend & as all Bmers the numbers are tainted by the fact we ALL want IMPROVEMENT in BM & its engine....sometimes I feel that Clay does these things to hide the "defects" of the engine by simply shifting the focus elsewhere :(:(:( IMO but hey who am I ? ;)
