I've been "toying" with the settings and options in an attempt to get reasonably accurate results in a fast sim from 1946 to present. Once I find good settings and options, I intend to play out the post-war period game-by-game. I've simulated 1946 to 2008 at least 50 times and have come up with settings and options that produce, on the whole, reasonable career batting results and leaders. (The settings will need to be further tweaked for the current 'roid period, which probably began around the mid nineties). One large problem remains, however, and I need your help. Individual pitching statistics are skewed for the pitchers because the AI, in the multiple year sim mode at least, promotes the best pitchers to the Majors at age 17!!!! The best batters, however, spend some requisite development time in the minors and hit the majors around age 22 - 23. The "young" pitchers predictably have poor results in the early years, making it difficult to get solid career pitching results when the batting results are fine. What can I do?

A different game ?Im finding the concept of this game is sound and great if your looking for pure fanatasy and not realism .
Putting a realistic option in it would make it second to none

League > League Settings

There are 4 drop down menus that tell the AI how to handle its prospects:
Promotion to MLB
Promotion to AAA
Promotion to AA
Promotion to A

Play around with those for a while and see if you get your desired results

Historical rookies have inordinately high overall ratings, for some reason, if i recall correctly, which causes the early promotion to the bigs.
