Guys,
Here is a place to list all of the improvements we would like to see for Football Mogul 2003.

i don't know about many of you guys, but i've played a lot of sports sims. some of my favorites are the simple, straight forward ones like World Hockey Manager or Baseball Mogul. ones where you make the team, computer spits out results. but i would love more in depth control like Championship Manager. for those who don't know, that's perhaps the greatest football (or soccer) simulation EVER made. the thing that makes it so great is the amount of strategy put into it. you have to know the defense that's playing you, the personnel the other squad puts on the field, and their weaknesses so you can exploit them. for that, we would need full stats for every player, printable rosters and stats, team and league news, and even player news. plus, the game takes place in real time using text. it doesn't need to be flashy movies or animations, just detailed text telling you the game. you can make on the fly strategy changes or player changes. when you find a play that works a team, you can use it over and over again until they stop you, instead of following your pre-game plan. if your cornerback is consistently getting burned deep, tell your safety to cover deep and give him some help. rookie QB in for a few snaps? try some running plays so he doesn't have to do too much work until your starting QB is ready. i know it sounds like a lo. but i just think it adds LONG TERM playability to a game when it has so much detail...
I agree with Oasage.
I'd like to see a something as simple as a "key play feature" as you watch the text of the game maybe once in awhile the game would give you control to make a key decission. Like to go for it on 4th down or to punt it away, or maybe make the 3rd and goal from the one play call. Just a simple - two button display - run or pass. That would allow us to take part in the outcome of the game but still keep it simple, and for Football Mogul still true to its roots as a GM game.
Just a thought.
