Predicting single game MVP's, and the Winner and Loser in a game where pitchers throw 1 maybe 2 innings each, seems like a silly idea. If you "predict" right, it just means you got lucky.
I'll say the AL will win, 6-3, but I'm not even going to attempt to predict anything more than that.

Looks liek Red Sox Fan's prediction of the final score is the most likely outcome at this point, albeit in more than 10 innings.

would selig allow another tie?

would selig allow another tie?
And decide homefield advantage how?
This is going to really make Selig look bad.
I love it.

If Selig did decide to end the game as a tie (Which might of have been the next inning as Kazmir and Lidge were the last pitchers), how do you think they would have decided home field advantage? Coin flip? Homerun Derby results? Interleague records? Or the way it should be, the records of the two teams in the World Series.

I don't think Selig would have allowed a tie, he'd probably tell them to play it and hope a manager forfeits... which, I think, would have been just as bad.

None of those methods are convoluted enough. Take the combined batting averages of the top 10 hitters (who makes up the top ten being decided by the Dalai Lama), then average THEM out to determine the Net Average Batting Index (aaah, the NABI) for each league. Whoever comes out on top gets home field! It couldn't be simpler! :D
Or, just have a chosen participant from each league (as voted on by German soccer fans, to take away any possible bias) run in circles for 5 minutes...they then both try to run in a straight line...whoever makes it the furthest before collapsing wins home field for their league.
