These were sent direct in an e-mail to Clay but am posting again here - minus most points others have raised in case he hasnt caught up on individual e-mails
COMMENTS ETC
College Draft
Would be good to be able to sort on SR and JR and maybe "shortlist" those we are interested in as we scout them, denoting those we are interested in in some way...maybe a colour highlight or a bracket.
Renegotiate
Would be less confusing for the brackets to clear once terms are negotiated and not to have to go out of the screen and back to see if any still to deal with as its confusing
Finance Screen etc
Would be good to be able to Right Click and sort in order of the column we are in rather than just list whatever is in the chosen heading category but not in descending or ascending order at present.
Game Screen
Like Baseball Mogul it would be good to have an actual game screen to see the play even if this is simplistic rather then this happening in the background. I am sure reviewers would jump on this. No game screen means that the game COULD be just rolling dice......behind the scenes.
News
Would be good to have a news screed of the Major Performances of each weeks games again like Baseball Mogul. Maybe the rushing and passing leaders and any win or loss streaks of note. Also this could allow Trades between other teams to be shown as a news option.
Strategy
While one can build the team by choosing better players at various positions by Trade etc, the game gives no feel that the type of strategy of players chosen makes any difference. Would be good to be able to instruct the team to play to the Run game or Pass game "more" based on the players you have in the team. Maybe this could be an option on the InGame screen if this is added ?
Winning but over Salary Cap
I found that at easy levels of the game, if I trade players during the season I can end up over salary cap but with a very strong squad. Played the season through and won the Superbowl, couldnt renegotiate as I was over salary cap, let the players just go, went through the college draft on "auto" and gained players, first weeks of season traded players again and ended up with a strong squad and then went to the superbowl again. This repeats for two or three seasons until the "watering down" of the squad takes effect but every year I can run over the slary cap without significant problems like this. Needs addressing.
