love the game, enjoy it lots. but there's some things that could make it better. first off the players should get equipment. ever player could have an equipment list. shinguards, batting gloves, bats, gloves, everything. some of this stuff should be better than other stuff. as time goes on in a player's life he gets more equipment and can buy or sell items. a hitter with a better bat can hit more home runs. a fielder with a better glove can field better. jersey of defense +3 gives you a +3 against injury. and so on. then next i think instead of a health score everyone should have hit points instead. break an arm and lose a few hit points. etc... lose too many hit points and the player retires or dies. i think too that there should be experience points for all players and they get these by hitting home runs and playing games and winning games. go up in levels when you get enough xp. trade a level 7 right fielder for cleats of blazing speed +5 for instance. makes things more interesting. make it possible to buy or otherwise acquire potions to increase players' attributes. give all players alignments, good, neutral, evil, chaotic, lawful and so on. makes for more interesting rivalries. i could think of lots more but i think you see where i'm going with it.

I think that's all going to be in the spin-off game, "World of Baseball Mogul". :)

That's what I was thinking...
There's a game called Inside the Park Baseball, affiliated with OOTP, that allows you to control the career of a player and you have such items you can buy with your salary. Pretty fun, actually.

Trapeeze.......you should get a book by Robert Coover (published 1968 by Penguin) called: "The Universal Baseball Association, Inc." It's a work of fiction about a dude named J. Henry Waugh. He eats takeout, drinks in a neighborhood bar, picks up ladies of the night, and likes country music. But he has one strange obsession--he has devised a baseball game whose every action is determined by a throw of the dice. Waugh is the nighttime propritor of the Universal Baseball Association, its master and its slave. The author, Robert Coover uses baseball and its almost perfect balance between offense and defense to explore the texture of American life and myth. You'll LOVE this book! example: one of the results (of a dice roll) is a line drive that kills the pitcher.............

This reminds me of a dice baseball game I used to play as a kid (Extra Innings). There was an action chart that left some openings for freak events during a game for the player to fill in.

What you don't have cleats of blazing speed? I got mine on Ebay along with Captain America's Shield, the tortoise and the hare, Santa Claus and some pocket lint.
Just type in Fantasy land and it all pops up on screen.

If you could patent that language you would be rich, the government would pay to use it as military code.:p
