Does anyone here wanna start a Fantasy Football league on ESPN. Everytime I join a league none of the GM's are active.

I play in a local "money" league. Free leagues just don't do anything for me. Biggest problem is Gm's aren't active. Also I prefer NFL.com because they have up to the minute scoring.

I THINK that means you set your draft rankings, and then an autodraft fills out the rosters based on everyone's rankings.

Anyway, if we don't get at least one more person for this league, I'd suggest knocking the draft back a week or two, and maybe trolling some other sites for either 1 more, or 3 more, GM's (or hitting up friends), cause a league with an odd number of teams just isn't going to work.

Did we ever figure out who the Hell Scuba Steve is? He offered me a trade dumb enough that he may as well have just sent me a message reading "So, I think you're a retard." Why would I POSSIBLY send him Jonathan Stewart and Owen Daniels for Chester Taylor and Jerious Norwood? Maybe if Turner AND Peterson were HURT, sure!

God, I have 3 drafts this coming weekend. I have to get up early Saturday and Sunday. I am not pleased about this. :mad: My main reason for bringing it up, though, is I'm looking for a little advice. My draft on Sunday is a league with individual defensive players...3 linemen, 3 d-backs, and 2 guys from any position (pretty much guarantee they'll be linebackers for the tackle points). So, I'm looking for any names you guys can mention that could be good sleepers...guys that will be there those last couple of picks. Some I've already come up with are Ray Edwards (the 4th guy on that Minny d-line, which basically guarantees he will see weak blocking all year) and Calvin Pace (gets to just rush the passer all day from that 3-4 OLB spot with the Jets).

Oh, and I found out that DL in Yahoo leagues covers both linemen AND linebackers. So, all front 7 guys are in play for those 3 spots (and probably the two D positions, too, unless I land a bunch of do-everything type safeties or something, and can't squeeze them in to 3 DB slots).

Thanks for the tips, guys. Draft was this morning, and it went really, really well. I got Steven Jackson with pick NINE in the first round, still got Portis in round 2, Big Ben in 3, and Boldin in 4. Here's my team, in the end (lineup each week - 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 WR/RB, 1 TE, 1 K, 3 DL, 3 DB, 2 other defenders from any position). Oh, it's a 12 team league.

QB - Ben Roethlisberger, Philip Rivers.
RB - Steven Jackson, Clinton Portis, Jonathan Stewart, LenDale White, Justin Fargas.

If I hadn't drafted Tatupu in the middle of the draft, I was going to use my last pick on whatever Samoan I could find. And I had forgotten than Justin Fargas' father was an actor who played Huggy Bear in the Starsky and Hutch TV show, so that HAS to count for something! :D

I'm also against LT, and Carson Palmer, but I'm not too worried about his receivers (Santonio Holmes and DJ Hackett), and I don't know that Willie Parker's a scoring threat with Mendenhall there now. I think Brees can rip it up, and Reggie Wayne and Boldin should do well...it all comes down to Jonanthan Stewart, Steven Jackson and LenDale White for me.

Looking at his lineup, I don't see Anderson doing a ton against Dallas. His backs should be decent, though, and Wes Welker could absolutely blow up against that craptacular Chiefs secondary. On the other hand, Moss and Maroney could also decimate KC for you, Manning has a good shot at ripping up that overrated Bears D. I see it as a whole lot cloer than is being picked, as long as you actually, you know put PLAYERS in those two spots. :D

On Engram, I concur...he was a great pickup for me last year. On Branch, not so much...he just doesn't make enough big plays consistently enough to be worth starting...didn't in New England, doesn't in Seattle.

I would suggest setting your lineup the night before. If you want to make a last minute change before the early games on Sunday, you still can, but that way the team you want is already in place.

And, yes, I'm up 10, your team's all done, and I still haven't had Brees play yet. :D
