So I knew I forgot something in my last thread. I just remembered it.
While we do have an "Expansion" mode, it would be awesome if you could create an Expansion Team on your own, selecting from cities that are vying for a new team. For example, maybe Vegas is offering to pay for an amazing new stadium, however maybe Dallas is expected to have stronger fanbase, but the revenue in Vancouver, BC is expected to be much higher than in either of those cities, etc, in which you can weigh your options and select which city will fit you best.
You, then, get to pilot your own Expansion Draft of available players. And maybe for kicks, it'll let you setup 1, 2, or 3 other expansion teams in the same season and participate in the same draft.
:) It's something I've wanted to see for years.

I like your ideas. I would also give the player the option of selecting an unlisted city (hey, if I really want to put that expansion team on Staten Island, then the game should let me).
When I saw the expansion option on the "Franchise Scenario" new game page in BM2K9, I assumed that it is, in effect, a placeholder. Clay has listened to the voices of the many clamoring for better expansion team control (http://www.baseballmogul.com/vbulletin2/showthread.php?t=165473), and he intends to deliver it. At some point. Possibly after Microsoft releases the user-friendly follow-up to Vista.

It takes some work on your part, but it is possible to add expansion teams on your own. Go into Commissioner Mode and add whatever new teams you want, assign them a city, and go into Stadium Editor to set your stadium up. When you create your new team(s) the game will assign you a bunch of scrub players to start with, so you'll have to do your own expansion draft. Here's how I go about it.

I know that. lol but it would be nice to create and partake in an expansion draft. If official expansion teams can take from me, I can take from them without having to go above and beyond on an "expansion draft". lol

Those would all be some nice options that would really add to the game. I bet you'd see alot more expansion dynasties on the boards if that was all built into the game rather than having to go about it manually.

Is Baseball Mogul being Staten Island-ist?
LOL, when you try to put a team in Staten Island, a dialog opens up:
"You must have made a mistake. I put it in Brooklyn for you."
:D
