The Online version can be fun but it also can be one of the more frustrating games I've ever played as well.
I've cut my payroll about 100 points in 3 weeks and yet NOW is when I go into debt which is a bit bothersome. Every single team in the league seems to be losing money (in profit not in how much many they have.....yet) and yet the payrolls don't seem absurdly high.
Trading while approriatly difficult, can also at times be absurdly difficult. I am talking to computer controlled teams that have two catchers making a combined 70 points and they want "more catching" to make a deal.
Essentially I am watching my team go down the toilet and its not from poor running but rather that I simply can't move players, losing money no matter what the payroll seems like the easiest thing to do. I look at the Oakland team in my season and their payroll isnt high, yet they are losing mega points.
All in all i think it's a solid effort, though it tends to be a bit frustrating and seemingly hopeless at times. As a team playing in NY I feel like I am working with a double a budget.
