I know this question has been asked before but do you guys raise ticket prices during the playoffs and what is the effect on attendance if you do that. I'm currently selling out during the playoffs with the same price as the regular season. Also, what about concessions during the playoffs. Thanks in advance.

All prices are automatically doubled for the playoffs, plus you don't pay salaries or anything else either. Still, if you're selling games out (which isn't really a bad thing, in and of itself) then you can try bumping the prices up slightly. Just, go slowly, don't overdo it.

I usually play a small-market team (Pirates) and my $16.50 tickets are usually raised to $28 or $30 (BEFORE doubling). Attendance is usually still maxed.

It's a great way to pad your bank account (despite not mirroring reality; from what people have said in my dynasty, the series' minimum game's profits are MLB's only, and the team only profits from games 5, 6, and 7, [or 4+5 for LCS] but in-game it's all yours).

Good advice.

I used to play a lot as the Dodgers, and I found I was able to raise ticket prices to ridiculous levels for the playoffs and still sell out.

Recently I got into the playoffs for the first time with my Vancouver expansion franchise. I was used to jacking up prices for the playoffs... I went way too high. My stadium was at 50% capacity for my first playoff game.

Fan loyalty and population were nowhere near those of my Dodger days.

I've raised prices during the season. I monitor pretty closley what other teams, especially those with records close to mine, in markets the same size as mine and use that as a guide. While it mght not be too realistic, I see it as a supply and demand thing - during the summer, I have no problem raising the beer and ice cream prices slightly.

Small increments have helped. Don't overdo it.
