Why you just can't trust Wikipedia sometimes:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_McAnulty
check out the third paragraph.

That's no fun...what was the alleged erroneous information?

Oh, it was a bunch of garbage about him taking a train trip to Portland and some other BS. Happens all the time on Wikipedia, but that's the power of it that we can all fix it. 99% of the time it's blatently obvious what's vandalism and what's real.
PS.: it's all still there, in the History.

Yah, I fix other things on wiki. One time I was looking up old Star Trek castmembers, and found a big AVRIL LAVIGNE ROCKS MY SOX across it. Deleted. :)
Uhm, it looks like someone already un-fixed your fix. Man, these people are pretty attached to their ramblings...
Anyway, I DO trust and love wikipedia. Just thought it was a funny example.

at approximately 3:42 est on july 8th, 2008 paul mcanulty, in the midst of molding a toy kitten he had named mr. Bumpers out of play-dough was summoned to the office of bud black. There, coach and kt (towers) broke the shocking while logical news. Paul had first been placed on waivers early in the morning they explained, all 28 major league teams and the pittsburgh pirates had passed on him. Having cleared waivers, paul was given his one way amtrak coaster to portland where they explained he would be able to see live pitching every day as a regular ceremonial first pitch catcher / director of ball boy development and occasional platoon outfielder and enjoy the benefits of the larger and funner kidzone located over the right-center field fence. Paul, while at first upset over the apparent demotion, after being assured the padres organization would recognize the streak regardless of the league or level of minor league ball at which it occurs, now is looking forward to the move back to portland. Paul had put down roots in portland early in his career. Portland would be a nice play to finish his career. P-mac jokingly refers to the city as “pauland” and said “it would be sweet if some fans in right field held up a pauland fan club sign when i’m was up to bat and stuff”.:d

I once saw on the Baseball Mogul wikipedia page that in 09 you could supply drugs, and allow players to get drunk, and argue with ,anagers. I deleted that

It appears He has been hit again:
Little Mac once had his testicles removed and donated to the Texas librical fund for the poor. He named his left one 'Lil Freddie and his right Alfonso. He was infamous for his heavy drinking in Vietnam, and wwas quoted saying " I never ain't not know what the heck my papa was tellin me but, I rode the train to Kentucky like a mad man." Paul is the son of Joe Morgan and Michella McAnulty. Paul then married Joe's sisrter abnd they had 8 test tube children, 7 of who are named Jimmy P. Paul currently is being born in Little Rock, AK. He has authored 90 books about human growth restore, ain't that right honey, said the old man. No chillipoo, that ain't rkight.

What's up with Paul Mcanulty all of a sudden anyway? I don't follow the NL or the Padres, and the Beavers coverage here is... limited. Did he do something, or not do something, to garner some sudden attention or something?

I think, perhaps, posting it on this site has led to more people adding stuff...

But then, there's this that I just found:

Actually, I saw him in another article, about a Sox prospect (Josh Wilson I think? They went to the same school or something?)
McAnulty was a fictional player I had in a game, and it led me to just check out his wiki page...and find that monstrousity. Had to post it here, for the laugh effect. Just pure chance: I knew the last name, clicked the link.
I have a wikipedia accound, but haven't edited anything in months. I'm usually removing this type of stuff, not putting it in....but the Joe Morgan reference makes me think someone here started doing more. That was not my intent. Wikipedia is a good resource, and vandalism doesn't help anything.
