Any tried this game! A really neat game of gladiator managment... recruit fantasy based warriors, equip, train and compete league and tourny style.

Finished the Demo (you can play 2 years) contemplating buying it ..

Hmmm...looks like it might be worth a try, could be fun. Good lord...did you check out the programmer's page? A Finn, a Swede, an Aussie, an American, a Bosnian...the friggin UN apparently made this game! :D

Anyway, I'll try the demo out. What were your thoughts on it? And is it worth buying (that seems a bit much for a purchase, but maybe there's a lot more here than meets the eye...I don't know yet).

It had an increadible amount of depth really, the actual battles aren't a whole lot but the management system is crazy, plus is open ended you just keep playing seasons and cup tourneys .. gladiators retire a certain age, you can offer life/1 year/ 1,3 or 5 game contracts you train up skills and for what i've read the AI is really good at the higher level teams, plus the 30-40 weapon, 20-30 armour pieces - 50 spells and 22 race/classes seems to have alot of replayability.

I think i may go ahead and but it, but the demo lets you play 2 years.

I was poking around their forum a bit last night, and noticed a big thread about a sequel game that they seem to be developing right now. So, I dunno, maybe look in to it a bit more and see if its' release is imminent. If so, perhaps wait and pick that one up.

I bought it a few weeks ago. It's nice. It can be repetitive, but on the other side, it's great if you want to play it for short periods. There's always the addiction, about training and equipping your gladiators. The combat is turn-based, but nothing fancy. Not bad for the price.
