I think it looks worthy of at least trying the demo. If they do a good job, this game could be really fun. You basically run a a record label, it apears, and manage everything of the bands you control. Sounds fun.

IGN has slightly better details on the game.

Well, it says it's going to be based on freeware Music Wars 3, so if you're interested in seeing what it might entail, I'd find MW3.

If it's done well, it could be an interesting business sim.

Actually, I'm kinda curious now, too...so, here's the link to Music Wars 3 1.04 (http://www.brothersoft.com/music-wars-3-46832.html), which is the newest version I could find. There's a ton of links splattered all over this friggin' page...the one you want is near the top.

Didn't take long to get bored with it. I mean, the basic idea is very cool, and I would certainly imagine that the fully fleshed out game Wolverine and him come out with will have more options, but the freeware one got boring quite fast.

Thought it was fun having Metallica record a rap/metal album.:D

You made Metallica record rap!?!?!? You must die! But really, the new one would need a lot more to keep from getting boring fast. I like the idea, but it needs improvement.

Yep. Basic idea is sound, but it was very repetitive, and really...what was the point of it? I never really did figure out what my goal was supposed to be.

And, yeah, I was bored, and decided it was time for them to take a 'new musical direction'. If possible, I would have gone far further away from metal...perhaps record a country or folk album. :D

How about Polka ;)! That would be amusing, watching Metallica dance around playing polka

Wasn't an option for them, unfortunately.

Hey, I found another music game out there called Rock Legend by Positech games. If you've heard of the Democracy titles, this is made by the same company. Haven't tried it, but it does have a demo you can download and try. Could be interesting. It's here. (http://www.positech.co.uk/rocklegend/index.html)

It was ok, but the demo did not give enough time to really get the band going. Seems more involved than Music Wars 3

Don't know if you guys ever tried Rock Manager, its got some good cartoony graphics, and a handful of missions. One is to try to get a Judas Priest type band to go out on tour, and they are all a bunch of pampered Rock Stars. It was kinda weird in the game I borrowed money from a loan shark and didn't pay it back in 30 days, so they ran over my drummer as he left the studio. Another fun one is "Rockstar ate my hamster" for the C64.

I got this game when I got a gift card for Christmas that I could use anywhere. I'm addicted to it lol.
