Is anyone here going to get it? I think it looks interesting, and very in depth. Could be an amazing game

I'm intrigued by the concept, but I'm sort of waiting to see what others think of it before I dive in.
Besides, I just got Mercenaries 2 for my 360, and the remakes of Colonization and King's Bounty are coming out before the end of the year (and looking good)...as is the new Brothers in Arms (enjoyed the first 2). Oh, and PAradox just officially announced they WILL be releasing Europa Universalis 3 Complete next month. :D

Ooh, a complete would be nice. And how is Mercenaries, it looks awesome. And is brothers in Arms that Real Time Strategy WWII? Or is that Company of Heroes. How good is it?

Yeah, the complete will be the base game and both expansions for...it's either $35 or $40, as opposed to the $60 it costs for all 3 of them now. I'd been putting off buying it because I figured a Complete Edition would pop up eventually.
I haven't played a ton of Mercs 2, yet. I really, really liked the first game for Xbox, and it seems like this one is very similar, which is a good thing. IT's so completely and totally open, which is a blast. Feel like completing missions? Pick a faction and do one. Feel like running around blowing crap up? Go for it. Want to track down 'most wanted' revolutionaries for money? Do it. And the vehicles...everything from motorbikes to tanks to attack helos. Support options...tankbuster runs, bunker buster bombs, artillery barrages, supply drops, and on and on. They all cost money, except you will get free support options from the faction you're working for if you are working on a mission. Also, when you do a mission, you're given a goal, but you can achieve that however you want. Let's say it's a hit. You can grab a sniper rifle, find a quiet location, and take out the target. Or, you can plant C4 packs on the road and set them off when his car drives over them. Or, you can run him off a cliff with a semi truck. Or, you can run in all Rambo style and take out him and everyone else in the room. Anyway, it seems like the sequel is very similar, which is a very good thing. :D
Brothers in Arms is this (http://brothersinarmslegacy.ubi.com/uk/roadtohill30/home.php) game. It's a first person shooter, but you have a couple squads under your command, too, and often support elements (a heavy machine gun team, maybe a Sherman tank), too. Lots of fire and maneuver, pinning the enemy and trying to flank, that sort of thing. Very well done. In the 2nd game, the Germans were made a LOT better, as well. VERY nasty with their grenades, and they were much more aggressively trying to attack you and react to your moves. Both were very, very good. Just when you'd think you'd seized an objective...BANG, here come two squads of Waffen SS grenadiers and a Panzer IVJ tank.
Company of Heroes I never could get in to. On the one hand, graphically and soundwise, it is insanely good. And for the most part, the troop AI is very well done, with just the occasional quibble (best example...I told a mortar squad to fire on a target...turns out the target was too far. Rather than the game telling me that, or the squad moving closer and then firing once in range, they decided to charge straight at the target, which was a machine gun nest. About 2 seconds later, they were all hamburger). My issues with the game were that it was trying to be a World War 2 RTS game, but at the same time was trying to be a typical RTS game. So, you have to take resource points, you have to build bases, you have to produce troops...it just didn't fit with the rest of the game, for me at least, so I uninstalled it. World in Conflict, on the other hand, was a FANTASTIC game, mainly because it got rid of all that crap, realizing it didn't fit in that title, either. You order reinforcements, but they're airdropped from an offscreen depot. I would definitely recommend WiC.

I have wanted World in Conflict for a while. And, do play the Total War games? Empire looks awesome, with Naval Warfare, and the time period, which is always a fun one in strategy games

The only Total War game I've ever really played was Rome, and I was less than impressed. I am not exactly a genius when it comes to games...a lot of times, I get romped early on by the AI while others have no trouble, but this time, it was a joke. Seriously, I could have played against a 3 year old and seen more of a challenge. One battle after another with Generals running headlong in to the teeth of my troops, being cut down immediately, and that leading to their whole Army breaking. Again, and again, and again. Just really, really bad tactical AI (though mods did help...Europa Barboraum was great). So, it sort of put me off the whole series.
Anyway, Empire LOOKS good, but I wanna know if it's more than just shiny graphics before I dive in and pick it up.

Medieval 2 was a lot better than Rome, just never tried the expansion. And I have a feeling Empire is the real deal

Well, I noticed that Medieval 2 and the Kingdoms expansion are now in a Gold edition for $30 or so, so maybe I'll take a look. Most of the good mods for it need the expansion.
God, I am such a games whore. It's just sad. :D

I have a feeling that we are not alone on these forums in that lol. I used to play over 10-15 different games on my computer ALONE, but have really cut back and just play like 4-5 different ones of so for like the past 5-6 months

I haven't taken stock in awhile, actually, so let's see what I've got...
Europa Universalis 2, Supreme Ruler 2010, Call of Duty 4, Age of Mythology Gold, Rise of Nations Gold, Age of Wonders Shadow Magic, Steel Panthers World at War, Steel Panthers Main Battle Tank, Celtic Kings, Nemesis of the Roman Empire, Knights of Honor, BM 2009, Front Office Football 2007, Close Combat 5, Silent Storm Gold, and I just re-installed Lord of the Rings : Battle for Middle Earth 2, since I've started rewatching the flicks again. I've also got World in Conflict, Puzzle Quest and Penny Arcade Adventures 1 all uninstalled because I finished em, Age of Empires 3 with both expansions uninstalled because I played it enough I got bored of it, Tropico Mucho Macho Edition uninstalled for the same reason, and Company of Heroes Gold because I didn't like it. Oh, Fantasy Wars, too, which I played the Hell out of. This doesn't even bring in to consideration my 360...Guitar Hero 2 and 3, John Woo's Stranglehold, Fight Night Round 3, NHL 08, Ninja Gaiden 2, Mercenaries 2, Just Cause, Dead Rising, Gears of War, Halo 3, The Simpsons Game and The Outfit is what I have for it at the moment.
I have a sickness. :D

I own the stuff in bold, along with Anno 153 The New World(uninstalled), Civ 3 and 4 plus expansions(unistalled), Empire Earth 1-2(2 is uninstalled), Civ City Rome, The Sims 2 plus 2 expansions, Flight Simulator Deluxe(too scratched too work because baby bro got a hold of it), Europa Universalis 3(unistalled because it was going to slow) Black & White 2 ( is fun but I can't beat one level, all the MLB the Show games, NCAA 09 Football, Madden 08 and 05, MVP 05, Motor Storm, Battlefield Bad Company, 1942, and Vietnam, Assasins Creed,Nascar 09, 08, 06, 03, Rome and Medieval Total War and some stuff I am selling. However, a lot of my games I do not play much anymore.

So, is Empire Earth 2 any good? I tried 3...what a complete and total mess of a disaster that game is. I've read reviews, though, and most have said that it was an absolute trainwreck compared to the others.
I actually forgot I still had BF '42 with the expansions (not installed...though it was solid, and some of the mods are really, really good), BF 2 Complete (Honestly, I wasn't all that blown away. There was one mod, Black Ops Mercenaries, that was fantastic, but the overall game wasn't very good) and FEAR Platinum (really enjoyed it and the first expansion, but I finished them, so it's also uninstalled).
So, I have to ask, where the Hell do you get the money? I work for a living, and...well, frankly, I can barely afford it when I get on a purchase spree. :D

Nothing wrong with that. It seems like you're in to action games, though, so you'd probably like Stranglehold. Third person run and gun game where you use the environment in attacks...sliding down banisters, swinging on chandeliers, stuff like that. It's fun.

Empire Earth 2 was not as good as the origianal. And I don't get all the money. I got some of the games for Christmas and birthdays (Actually got bombarded. I would ask for a few games and say I only wanted 1-2, and get 5. I have finally made them stop spening so much on stuff like that now, so it can go to more important stuff, like a Greg Bennett guitar :D), and bought some. But I have slowed down a LOT now that I am playing baseball and guitar and have found Mogul. I am getting NHL 09 today, got Spore when it came out, and have gotten like just 5 games this year, and I don't play many of my old ones. And Spore is Awesome! I love abducting guys, and playing it. A very fun game
