Just wondering if everyone thinks there should be FB postion to fix all of the problems that were posted on various threads about no real FB position.
This issue was discussed in the "auto sort" thread [http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=18663]
as well as "role of fb and te " [http://forum.sportsmogul.com/showthread.php3?s=&threadid=18457]

Yeah it's needed. Especially in the draft. Sometimes you need FB and you got to cycle through all the RB's. It would make the game easier and more life like. Altho and RB/FB split could be offered as well (Mike Alstott).

i didnt even think of making it easier to cycle through the backs. often that is pain cycling through all of the backs. since rb and fb are mixed in together.
it might be cool to have all the players on special teams listed not just kicker/punter and return men. this way it give you a place to put those rookies or soon to be stars at and see how they are doing. then make them fight to start their true position just like the NFL teams do.
so you know that those 4 extra TE are your hands men for special team. and those extra CB, RB are your advance tacklers on special teams.

Guys
Can you describe the difference between a running back and a full back? I know a running back is the team's primary runner. The full back is the secondary runner and has good blocking ability.
I guess my question is do all teams use a running back and a full back? Or do teams sometimes use dual running backs? If FBM were to create a FP position, would that be a separate position from RB? In other words, instead of four running backs, would we say have two or three each of running backs and full backs?
Thanks!

A halfback is the teams primary runner, and usually has good speed and power. The secondary runner is often a half back as well, and usually is faster than the primary runner, has good hands, but not enough muscle to take the every down wear and tear of an every down back. A fullback's primary job is to lead block for the halfback. Some fullbacks have good hands, some run well, but neither is important. Guys like William Henderson and Sam Gash rarely touch the ball, but are Pro Bowlers because they block greatly.
I would say each team should have 3 halfbacks and 1 or 2 fullbacks.
