It's a Cy Young predictor. It's meant to evaluate the likelihood of players winning the Cy Young, and as such, it is modeled using the habits of the voters, who value saves very highly, and thus, Rodriguez will place highly in the Cy Young voting. That's what this metric does - predict who will win the Cy Young. It's not who Bill James thinks should win.

oh...n another note I thought this link might help a tiny bit for the Sports Mogul awards poll. At least it gives the voters a chance to look at the stats of a few of the pitchers before voting, might change one or two peoples minds about how they were gonna vote....
