Just curious as to why ass is acceptable but a$$hole is not?
Is a-hole that much more offensive than ass & I just don't notice it (b/c I'm insensitive & jaded to other's views)?

They bleep it out on TV too
they bleep out butthole as well... but they'd bleep out the "hole" part and leave the ass/butt part...
It's like how damn isn't bleeped out, but the god in goddamn is.
The whole idea of bleeping out words reeks of censorship...

Yeah, I've never understood why ass is acceptable, but assh*le is completely over the line.
As for bleeping and whether or not it's proper, depends on the time of day. If it's early, bleep it. If it's 11:30, just let it go.

Perhaps it's a matter of aesthetics? Men (and women?) can ogle a well-formed
butt for quite a time, but who, save a doctor, wants to peer up someone's back passage?...and which name would we find the more objectionable, were it applied to us?
