Congratulations on a great series and year to the Philadelphia Phillies. I'm a huge Dodgers fan, and I'm still in deep anguish over how poorly our team played this series. Everything from Billingsley to Furcal went wrong. I really thought we'd show up much better, but we didn't.

However though, there is still hope on the horizon. Yes, Furcal, Blake, Lowe, Penny, Kent, Garciaparra, and the amazing Manny Ramirez are all soon-to-be free agents, and I'd have to be absolutely kidding myself if I thought we could bring back Man-Ram. However, if we can bring back the first three, land Pat Burrell or another big bat, and a good starting pitcher to compliment Billingsley, Lowe, Kershaw, McDonald (in my opinion, his strong postseason debut will make him the starting pitching version of K-Rod), the Dodgers will be a feared team. Kemp and Martin especially show great promise, while DeWitt looks to become a Chase Utley type player without the power, and Loney could be the next Todd Helton. While having all that happen would obviously be a utopia, I think the Dodgers can do enough to get them back into the postseason next year. Maybe Andruw Jones will even show up, you never know.

Like I said, great job to all of the Phillies, especially outstanding performances by Hamels and Victorino (whom I absolutely loathe now after the robbing of Blake and the outstanding catches at the wall in numerous games), as well as Brad Lidge for an outstanding comeback year. This team is playing great, and I believe they will give the Rays a handful.

I will be rooting for the Rays in the World Series though. From the worst to the best in one year? That's just amazing.
