I'm spreading my time out with Silent Hunter, Pacific. My granddaughter wanted Spore so have that also but it seems pointless sometimes.
Just finished my 2nd run thru with Mass Effect. Liked that one.
What are you folks having fun with?
Oh, and I have never tried a D&D type game and somebody suggested Neverwinter Nights 2. Any thoughts?

Nothing really. Downloaded a game called "N" that is addicting yet frustrating, but no other name games.

If you like strategy gaming, you can't go wrong with a Paradox title.

I love to play independent games, I always check out gametunnel.com for something different. I'm into space-sims explorer, trading, pirating etc. Right now I'm playing a game called Universal Combat. You pilot a huge battle cruiser in open sandbox style play, doing what ever you want. If you get attack you can launch fighters and pilot one of them. If you want to explore a planet surface you can launch your atv and pilot it. Right now its more complicated to learn then fun.

Gotta tell ya, RedSox, in the end I've been fairly disappointed with Mercs 2. The first game was better...I dunno what it is, but this one just seems to be missing some of the fun the original game had.
Anyway, Goold Old Games is having a sale, so I'm about to buy 3 more games...like I have the time to play them. :D It may be time to do my annual perusal of games and remove the ones I don't play anymore.
Oh, one more thing...found a blog where this guy has listed every major PC game release currently announced for next year. He's done a good job arranging it, too, with links to every game's page and a screenshot of each. Check it out (http://adrianwerner.wordpress.com/games-of-2009/) if you're interested.
Also found a sweet little Aliens Flash game (http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/408816) that's perfect for those times at work when you're waiting around for half an hour for a stupid truck to show up.
And, in the spirit of RedSox Xmas hopes list, I've got Call of Duty : World at War, Europa Universalis 3 Complete Edition, Galactic Civilizations 2 Ultimate Edition and John Tiller's Campaign Series in positions of prominence on my wishlist. Oh, and Gears of War 2 for my 360.

It's great, although I've never beaten it.
Right now I'm stuck on the part where you break into the Sith Base on Manaan to get the data from the droid back for the Republic. I got the data, but I can't get past the little trial thing you have to do once you leave the base. I was expecting to be able to just dismiss my lawyer and Force Persuade the judges and be done with it, but I was horribly mistaken.

is it this part??
Your trial for invading the Sith base. This one is easy if you have the information from the training master. Otherwise, tell the court you were lured into the base under false pretenses. If you don't have the datapad from the master, you can still get off, but your future landing fees rise to 500 credits since you are a troublemaker.

Haven't picked that one up yet, though I've heard good things from others about the MP part of it, too.
Went ahead and took advantage of the Boy 2 for $9.99, get a $5.99 title for free sale on Good Old Games, though. Aaah, Jagged Alliance 2 and Disciples 2, how I missed thee.

Well, I was quite disappointed with Medieval II : Total War at first...just some really dumb AI crap that happens, and some silly stuff in there, too. Having been told that there are some REALLY good mods, though, I have reinstalled, and am currently downloading the Stainless Steel, Broken Crescent and Deus lo Vult mods. This figures to basically take care of my weekend. :D

I liked it, but it went really slow at times ndthe was gay sometimes. I only recently learned how to install mods, but have not done any with Medieval. My question is, do you own every game I do? :)

Clearly it is YOU who is copying ME. :D
I just got a little annoyed with absolutely bizarre moves the AI would make sometimes. However, having tried with mods for a few days now, it really does change it. They've added a lot more layers to the strategic game in terms of politics, economics, all that stuff. Broken Crescent sets the game in the era of the Crusades, with a focus on the Middle East, Stainless Steel basically rebuilds the original game with a lot of extra content, and Deus lo Vult adds some interesting RPG-ish qualities to it. There's a mod that will set the game in Middle Earth that looks like it could be pretty damn sweet once it's done, too.

Picked up the Complete version of Crusader Kings during the 50% off Paradox Interactive sales last week, so I've been checking that out. Good Old Games has also brought in some really good stuff over the past few weeks that I've been playing.
