There's always that baseball game that Nintendo developed...

They were making another Tecmo Super Bowl for it too. Makes me want to buy a Wii just for that.

1) MLB Power Pros. Wow, what a baseball game. Intense. And, you can do a lot of things that Mogul does - AND some that it can't! Adjust rotation size, MLB/AAA rosters, etc. The 2008 version lets you play MLB life, but I still play 2007 only.
2) Wii play - required.
3) If you have kids or wife/girlfriend, the first Rayman: Raving Rabbids is required.

Zelda is okay, I never got too far. Metroid is also supposed to be great, but I didn't get it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is a great game, as is Mario Super Sluggers.

I got a Wii a while ago, but I am planning on selling it. The graphics are not that great, most of the big games are skinned down OR not even available on it. I was really disappointed by it.

as far as the best system (memory graphocs, playablility, electrical usage lol) Xbox360 blows the wii out of the water like dynomite in a lake. the PS3 is better than Wii but still lags in performace to the Xbox360. tho the 360 usese in INSANE ammount of juice

The thing about the Wii is that it targets casual gamers. It's intended to be "blown out of the water" by the PS3 and XBox, you know?
The revolutionary aspect to the Wii (where it blows the PS3 and XBox out of the water) is it's accessability.

Most "hardcore gamers" will have all three systems plus a top-of-the-line gaming PC anyways. I used to be a pretty hardcore gamer, but the past couple years I'm a much more casual gamer.

It's also designed for younger kids. So where the PS3 and the 360 both have these big, huge intricate games, and are more concentrated towards shooting games and things like that, the Wii has much simpler, easier-to-get-into, cartoony fighting and sports games.

the wii is only fun when playing with others, unlike the xbox or playstation...but that could just be me

Top-of-the-line gaming PC, that is.

the wii is only fun when playing with others, unlike the xbox or playstation...but that could just be meI think the fun of the Wii comes in the actual movement involved as opposed to being button pushers on the other systems. My girlfriend and her nine year old had a blast balancing themselves on the Wii Fit board trying to manuever their way through ski gates rather than sitting on the couch.

I could even see my mother and father having fun doing this rather than learning what buttons to push for the other systems.

For the casual or non-gamer, Wii is the system of choice.

Yep, that's a huge part of it as well. The PS3 has motion sensing as well, but it's not nearly as ingrained in the identity of the console the way it is with the Wii. It really is one of the biggest selling points with the Wii, possibly the biggest.

Oh yes, it is very ingenuitive and a great concept, it is just not for me. But for a casual gamer, or for young kids or people who don't play much at all, it is great.

Actually, I agree with this. Wii is a lot of fun multiplayer, mainly because there just isn't that much single player content that is all that fun and well made. I could care less about graphics as compared to gameplay, but there just isn't much really good single player content available for the Wii, which is why I haven't picked one up yet.

The main reason I want (and am getting) one is because of the games. As I said before, most of the games on the 360 and PS3 are these big, huge, intricate shooter, RPG games, and I've never really been a fan of those for the most part. I like games like SSB: Brawl, and Super Sluggers, and stuff like that. They're much simpler and easier to get into.

I was reading today that a lot of industry analysts seem to think a new Zelda will be dropping in 2009.

Nintendo's own properties tend to be pretty well done. Super Mario Galaxy and the Super Smash Bros game for Wii are both pretty good.

That would be awesome!

Yeah, it has been. Most of the games Nintendo has done for the Wii on its own has been pretty good, if not great, it's been the third party games that have sucked.
