Boston is now 13 games back of New York (and Oakland).

Unless we stop Clemens' winning streak, it will be 14 games within 24 hours.

About 2.5 months ago, we were about 4 games up on New York. Can anyone remember the last time (if ever) Boston was 4 games up and then dropped to 13+ games back?

We folded in 1978 but scratched back to a one-game playoff. We didn't just drop off the charts like this...
