I am managing the philadelphia team in fastsim 46. I've got the best record in the NL (its close right now) and can only fill about 22k of 62k seats at a pice of -10%. I went into the season with some cash and have a team salary of 373 with a budget of 265 and limit of 279. which i believe has come down since the season started. Shouldn't a team that has been competitive throughout the season and currently in first place be able to draw a few more fans, thus raising their revenue and salary limits?

You would think right ?
LOL
I won the WS an get less people in then I did the year before........ if they don't fix this problem at least let us get the money from sold tickets from the playoffs.
I have winning seasons, playoff teams that get less an less people each year. You would think a team the wins the WS would at least sell out the opener the next year.

If you win the World series you will have a higher attendance the next season. Thats the way its set up. If you are a team with fickle fans like Philadelphia or Detroit you arent going to fill the stadium because they dont care about baseball.

It's true, if you make the playoffs, your attendance goes up by roughly 2k per game the next season (I think the next season's attendance is based on the previous one, and since playoff attendance is calculated into overall attendance figures but the games are not, the average gets driven up a bit). That is about an additional 25 points of salary to work with. Which is a pretty decent reward. The reason you probably think you're drawing less fans is because of the playoff attendance figures I mentioned earlier, which get factored into the average, but the playoff games do not (total attendance 162 games + playoff game attendance / just 162). Typically attendance picks up around the end of the season, so if you make the playoffs again, you will find that your attendance figures for the overall year will be up about 2k per game from the last. They can't give you much more than 25 points to work with a year as a reward, or else it would eliminate the distinction between small market and big market teams too much. Big market teams are already disadvantaged in terms of the scoring system, if you eliminate their salary advantage, well balance gets thrown off.

That kind of forces the small market teams to make a run for it, sell off talent, rebuild, and make a run for it again.......
And they do get rewarded handsomely in Mogul points for diong just that.
