Just curious......

Has anyone tried playing players grossly out of position to see what effect that has on the game?

Like putting Frank Thomas at Catcher, or something like that?

I have played catchers and outfielders at thirdbase. They usually end up with a fielding percentage around 850-900. It is kind of like putting Bobby Bonilla at thirdbase, lots of errors.

In my next season, I think I'm going to try some "outrageous" fielding switches, just to see how the game handles it.

I have been doing this ( I play Trot Nixon as a catcher all the time )

One thing I have seen, an it might just be me, my players seem to get hurt more when they play out of position, now like I said that just could be bad luck on my team.

But the fielding % is terrible, most end up with 900 or so.
