I have a gripe with stealing bases and caught stealing. I have 3 fast players on my team, and it appears the slower you are the better stealing percentage you have. Anyone else have strange occurances like this?

Leadoff hitter, speed A+, 42 steals, 38 caught stealing, 53%
#2 hitter, speed A-, 41 steals, 13 caught stealing, 76%
#3 hitter, speed A, 37 steals, 15 caught stealing, 71%

With this data you can't say the catchers in the league were a factor, but you could say that the leadoff hitter gets pitched out on frequently. The leadoff hitter's stats remind me of a popular player named Brett Butler, who wasn't necessarily that fast. Butler stole alot of bases but was caught alot, Butler probably would have a B+ speed in the game. When I think of A+ speed, I think of Vince Coleman, Rickey Henderson, and Kenny Lofton. I don't ever recall them having stealing percentages around 50%.

Here is another team of mine:

Leadoff hitter, B speed, 31 steals, 7 caught stealing, 82%
#2 hitter, D+ speed, 24 steals, 6 caught stealing, 80%
#3 hitter, B speed, 42 steals, 14 caught stealing, 75%

Here is 1 more oddity on my 3rd team:
B- speed, 32 steals, 2 caught stealing, 94%

Yeah Stolen Bases are really low. I feel a A+ SPEED player should be able to steal as many as 70 bases but youy never see any of them doing that.

I wonder what happened when I get to 100 posts
