Is there a way you can tell where I sent this from? Like REALLY where its from... say like what actual address.

and if so... how

Yes... sort of.
Your IP at the time was 209.191.87.87, which is a Yahoo IP address (http://tools.whois.net/index.php?fuseaction=whois.whoisbyipresults). That alone can get someone a general area.
Plus "they" have your full name.

There are ways to get to the current Yahoo DNS server. The police can do it simply by calling Yahoo (hopefully, with a warrant). Others could as well, with a bit of work.
You're actually a bit protected by using Yahoo or any other large ISP that uses dynamically allocated IP address, but only from the very casual snoopers.

so if for example someone sent me an email... that was ... shal we say... not so nice with a made up name... could I find out where it was from if I THOUGHT i knew who it was.

Yea, that's easy. Every email provider has an "abuse@" address of some sort. All you have to do is forward the email to them. Just about every provider has stipulations in their Terms of Service that says tat sending harrasing email can get your service cut off.

but there is no way to just find out who it is is then :(

Well... I didn't say that. There are ways, and there's plenty of methods that are spelled out on the web and through torrents and stuff.

What, you want to go vigilante on someone?

What, you want to go vigilante on someone?

Dun dun dun (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfh4Mhp-a6U)

Don't do it. It's not worth it.

Turn the other cheek. Be the bigger man. Non-violent protest. All that stuff.
