7 in a row. The arthritis is creaking, but the Yanks are streaking.

Did they go somewhere?

This is a tough call. Tampa Bay has the best pitching staff outside of the Dodgers. If TB can start hitting, they will easily take down Yanks and Sox.

Yeah, they are back until they lose two in a row, then they are old and can't handle the pressure and A-Rod's act is killing team chemistry.

Well considering Tex has hit 6 home runs and raised his BA 40+ points, C.C. has allowed 3 ER in 24 innings with 20 k's, Jeter has raised his average over 10 points, Damon has hit 3 homers with 8 rbi AND raised his average over 10 points, Pettite has won two games while Burnett has lowered his ERA, Joba has had two nice outings, all since the return of A-Rod AND the Yanks have gone 8-2 in their last 10 with him.......
Yeah, I guess team chemistry is bad with A-Rod
I could go into more stats and more evidence, but I'm just trying to prove a point that they are a much better TEAM with A-Rod by presenting a sample of their big name players who have improved since his return (and there are many of them as you can see).

Am I the only one in the whole world wondering now about Big Papi????
Come on, now, admit it, I'm not the only one am I?????
(See, this is why I hate all the media bullcrap over the issue, cause I always loved Big Papi. Now, .................... I dunno. But I'd bet a LOT of money I'm not the only one wondering.......)

I honestly have not thought of him using steroids, but then again I never think/care about anyone using the stuff nowadays.

My co-worker - a Yankee fan - gives me crap about Papi using 'roids, now that Manny was suspended. I don't buy it. Ortiz has been vocal in his anti-Roid stance, and seems too much of a happy-go-lucky guy to endanger his body and cheat that way for personal gain.

See, I'm not the only one wonderging.:D
This is just another reason why I wish they'd just go ahead and release the names of ALL of those 104 or how ever many it was that tested positive. I still think it's SO WRONG for A-Rod's name to have been release but no one else's. And I wish the media would just SO get over it about this issue, let the testing continue, and move on (.org :)).
I've always loved Big Papi. His demeanor and personality were just so cool to me. And I'd bet too that he WASN'T one of the guilty ones. Which is another reason why I wish they'd release the names. When his name isn't on it, then we can all look at that and say "See, just because someone's numbers changes doesn't mean they did the roids!"

Even if I found out that he did do steroids, I'm pretty sure the guy is just naturally big.

Either way, that list of names is also certainly not nearly conclusive.

Not that I'm saying I suspect him, but releasing the names of people who failed a test in 2003 says nothing about who may have been using PEDs over the past few seasons.
As for Papi's being "happy go lucky" indicating he wouldn't use anything... doesn't that description also apply to Manny?

Well, I'm not so naive as to believe that releasing those names proves anybody DIDN'T use them, but what it does do, is it ends the speculation just a bit. In other words, right now, we KNOW over 100 ballplayers failed in 2003. We don't know who. So everytime we "question" someone, we wonder if he's one of the 100.
If they released the names, and Big Papi isn't on the list (as an example), we can, then, at least confidently say he hasn't failed a drug test. We can't even say that, right now.
Plus, I was ALL for keeping them private. But once they cherry picked and leaked A-Rod, for me, that changed everything. Now I really believe they should ALL be released. Get em out there, let the media get on their high horse for a few weeks, let some fans thump their chests for awhile, and then, once and for all, just MOVE ON.
I, for one, couldn't care less if all of them, some of them, or none of them took pills, shots, creams, leaves, herbs, energy drinks, whatthehellever. I could take ALL of those things and I still can't hit Josh Beckett. And I've still never seen convincing data that they help all that much anyway. But, whatever, there's a testing program now, with real consequences. We'll test, some will fail, the game will go on. Just wish the media and a lot of fans would too. Cause players taking things in a belief that it will help them play better has been going on just as long as players have been playing the game.

If only he had used the same drug to come down off of steroids as Manny. Whats a little lactaiting vs. HRs.

6 hits and a monster shot to Ibanez in 3 innings. Color me unimpressed. But, it is something that he can give up 2 runs in 3 innings and yet see an 8 run drop or so in his ERA. :p
