I am using Windows Vista. Mogul version 12.12

Started a Superba franchise in 1901 and each time after the 1906 season ends I go from a budget of 100K to over 9 million. I was wondering how to fix this problem. It has happened with two separate franchises. If more info is needed please let me know.

Thanks.

How does your 1906 REVENUE compare to your 1901-1905 revenue?

Payroll Budget (I assume that's what you mean) is a useless number. Most people completely ignore it.

My revenue has increased each year, but not enough for there to be a 8.9mil dollar increase in my budget.

While I understand that the payroll budget is often ignored and it fluctuates dramatically, if I were to play out the year my on hand cash would be close to $7million, there would be no competition with the rest of the league. I could practically sign every free agent I wanted with no damage to my payroll.

Argh...Mogul Expenses strike again

Did you actually play out the year? I'll bet that you don't end up with all that extra cash.

Revenue = how much money your team will make through ticket sales, concessions, tv revenue
Expenses = how much money your team will spend on PAYROLL, farm, scouting, medical.
Profit = whatever is leftover and gets added to your cash.

Payroll Budget = a number that the game pulls out of its ass. Actually it is PREDICTED Revenue - Predicted Expenses (Farm, Scouting and Medical)

I just ran a sim from 1901-1906 and it stayed within the normal limits for the league and I am Vista/12.12

I just simmed the year and the number normalized. It did the same thing the following year. Apparently it is projecting massive profits on Jan 1, but by the start of the season the monkey's are replaced by gorillas so the number comes down a bit. Things seem to work out though.

Thanks for all the responses and help.

Ok...so, to summarize: Payroll Budget = Useless
