I've been trying to edit the rosters for FM for like the past week now and I can't really seem to get it to show up in the actual game. Is there a certain trick to this or something? Because I'm getting really frustrated.

And if anyone has a pre-done roster file that they can put together or upload, I will pay you through paypal or something. Seriously. This has been aggravating me so much haha.

Follow the following thread I think this may answer your question,

Roster/Player editing
I would like to know if there is a way to edit the pre-installed roster file that would include editing player skills also other than in 'comish' mode>edit player. I've done search on the forum and found a response last year from Clay that went something like this: open Lahman folder and edit rosters.csv file, start new game in FBM import stats then save game as universe.mog then rename universe.mog to universe .dat and start game again and I guess resume game with universe.dat file. I tried that it didn't seem to work though, the game didn't recognize the newly renamed universe.dat file as a game file it could use. When editing players in the player editor you cannot change the player's jersey number. I would also like to know what the player edit attributes mean:career, predicted, etc. what does overall, peak mean and how to properly adjust for the desired results. This player edit stuff may be common knowledge to players who also play Sports Mogul BB mogul. I never player BBM and therefore am unfamiliar with it. On my past versions of FBM I never used player editing, I just played the game the way it is. I would appreciate any insight to this subject.

Re: Roster/Player editing
Similar background and same questions. Plus when I d/l and unzip the universe file from the forum and then replace the unzipped one over the original, after starting the game, I get an error message saying the file only contains 4 tight ends and then blows off completely. I've forwarded the error message several times, but no response.

Re: Roster/Player editing
The only thing that I have found that remotely explains player editor settings was found in Baseball mogul forum here http://www.sportsmogul.com/baseball2k7/aging.htm.

Re: Roster/Player editing
You can edit the files before you start a game if you desire. However, you must edit four files in order for the program to recognize the changes. The files you have to edit are under the folder "Lahman". Two of the files are CVS and you can edit them with Excell. They are the "playerbios" and the "roster" files. You need to make sure all you files match exactly. The other 2 files are in the folders "SortedPlayers" and "players". They are best edited with Excell's Microsoft Script Editor. The Script Editor is under the Excell Tools menu, Macros. If you edit players speed, be sure and put the numbers only, no decimals. Make sure it is placed in the "X" column in the CVS files. A players speed is the only thing you need to change before you start a game. Every thing else can be edited from the game's Roster Scouting file. Be sure you have placed a folder in your "C" drive named "Football Stats". Copy the CVS files from the Lahman folder to the Football Stats folder. When you import stats the program looks for the Football Stats folder for the updated player information. Sorry about this being so long. I just didn't want to leave anything out. Hope it helps.
