Tasers weren't the problem there. If the cop didn't have a taser, he would've used pepper spray. Or his baton.

tasers are necessary form of non lethal protection for police officers. are we really to the point where we feel sorry for the bad guy who gets tazed?

I'm surprised the standard-bearer of authority and law & order, Metsguy, finds issue with this.

I mean, I do, but I hate authority, so that's not surprising.

Metsguy, Taser's are a safer solution to using a lethal weapon like a gun. There are many situations where if a police officer didn't have a taser, he would be forced to shoot the person, causing injury and perhaps death.

Everyone should feel what a stun gun feels like on the receiving end while they are young and healthy. It is quite a unique feeling.
